The post is launched by the Fit4MedRob PNRR project to support the generation of neurocontrollers for closed-loop simulation of brain functions. The core model is based on spiking neural networks that will be integrated into sensorimotor and cognitive control systems. The main scientific issue is about the impact of cellular and synaptic properties of the cerebellar network (studied in other sections of the same research center) on error correction and sensory prediction in simulated tasks. The controller will be used to simulate physiological and pathological states typical of neurological patients. The controller will also be considered to drive autonomous learning in real-robots.
